Acolhimento familiar no início do século XXI: desafios emergentes e respostas sistémicas num mundo em mudança

À medida que o primeiro quarto do século XXI chega ao fim, torna-se cada vez mais evidente que os sistemas de acolhimento familiar enfrentam novos e complexos desafios que já não podem ser eficazmente resolvidos através das estruturas desenvolvidas no século anterior. Embora o recrutamento de novas famílias de acolhimento tenha sido, durante muito tempo, uma preocupação estrutural, esta dificuldade agravou-se devido às mudanças demográficas, à evolução das estruturas familiares, às restrições económicas e à crescente crise habitacional em muitos países.

Paralelamente, o acolhimento familiar responde agora a um leque mais amplo de transformações sociais, incluindo a diversificação das estruturas familiares, o aumento da migração, a crescente diversidade cultural, religiosa e étnica, a evolução da compreensão do género e da identidade e a necessidade imperativa de garantir a participação significativa das crianças e de todas as partes interessadas relevantes nos processos de acolhimento.

Estas questões prementes cruzam-se com múltiplas dimensões da prática e da política do acolhimento familiar, nomeadamente: acolhimento por familiares, contacto com a família, manutenção e regulação das relações com as famílias biológicas, disposições terapêuticas e especializadas em matéria de acolhimento familiar, transições para uma vida independente e os conceitos mais amplos de bem-estar e satisfação com a vida das crianças e jovens acolhidos.

O Politécnico do Porto tem o prazer de convidar a juntar-se a nós em setembro de 2026 para dois dias de reflexão crítica, diálogo interdisciplinar e exploração colaborativa dos desafios contemporâneos na investigação sobre acolhimento familiar.

Cada participante está limitado a três submissões na categoria Apresentação Oral Individual, seja como primeiro autor ou coautor. As apresentações em simpósios não contam para este limite.

Simpósio
Os simpósios oferecem aos investigadores a oportunidade de apresentar estudos sobre um tema específico, integrando um conjunto coerente de artigos.
O coordenador do simpósio deve:
  • Enviar o resumo do simpósio, descrevendo o tema e a sua relevância para o âmbito da conferência, com um máximo de 250 palavras;
  • Ser o único responsável pelo envio do simpósio anónimo. O ficheiro anexo contendo os resumos (3 ou 4) deve ser enviado sem qualquer referência aos nomes ou afiliações dos autores;
  • Enviar simultaneamente o resumo do simpósio e o anexo na plataforma CMT3.

Keynotes

Jorge Fernández del Valle

O Prof. Fernández del Valle iniciou a sua carreira profissional (1981) como psicólogo em serviços de assistência à infância, incluindo cuidados residenciais, adoção e programas de intervenção familiar. Desde 1989, ingressou na Faculdade de Psicologia da Universidade de Oviedo (Espanha), onde atualmente é professor titular de intervenção psicossocial e diretor do Grupo de Investigação sobre a Criança e a Família. Como investigador, o seu foco principal é a avaliação de programas e a qualidade dos serviços de assistência à infância, tendo realizado a primeira investigação nacional sobre a avaliação do acolhimento familiar na Espanha. Também desenvolveu diferentes ferramentas para melhorar a prática na assistência residencial à infância, bem como a publicação das Normas Nacionais de Qualidade da Assistência Residencial. Publicou mais de 100 artigos revisados por pares e 15 livros, e participou em mais de 70 projetos de investigação. É membro de várias redes internacionais de investigação na área do bem-estar infantil (EUSARF, INTRAC, TRC, etc.)

Daniela Reimer

Daniela Reimer é professora de Infância, Juventude e Família na Universidade de Ciências Aplicadas de Zurique, Suíça, Departamento de Serviço Social. A sua formação é em serviço social e ciências da educação. Está envolvida em pesquisas sobre acolhimento familiar desde 2006. Em 2016, obteve o seu doutoramento com uma tese sobre biografias de jovens em acolhimento familiar. A dissertação foi premiada com o Prémio Alemão de Bem-Estar Infantil e Juvenil. Na sua pesquisa recente e atual, o seu foco está nas imagens das famílias de acolhimento, no apoio profissional a crianças e famílias de acolhimento, no acolhimento por familiares e na prevenção da violência sexual em contextos de acolhimento. Além da sua pesquisa, está envolvida no ensino e na formação de profissionais em história e teoria do serviço social e em vários aspetos do bem-estar infantil, bem como na justiça infantil.
